 The famous first season of the Sailor Moon anime is a rather complex season to collect as it has been released in different styles with each release offering something very different from the other while no release so far has offered both the English and Japanese audio on the same disk.
To make shopping easier I have listed the Sailor Moon DVDs here by release and not by episode order. The first batch feature the edited DiC English dub of the series that has aired on TV in Australia, North America, UK, New Zealand and other English speaking countries. This is my preferred version and is highly recommended especially now that the DVDs are out of print and are selling out everywhere.
In the middle of the page is the Region 1 (North American DVD) box set of the first season that features every episode uncut with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles. While I don't have this version, word is the subtitles (despite it being an official release) are questionable and the picture quality very poor compared to the Japanese releases.
At the bottom half of the page is a listing of the official Region 2 (Japanese / UK) Japanese Sailor Moon DVDs that are completely uncut and with Japanese audio though have no subtitles. It is worth mentioning that the audio and picture has been digitally remastered and looks simply incredible compared to every other release on the market.

Occasionally you may see plain text where a shopping link should be. This is most likely due to the item being unavailable on that online store. You will also see links throughout my reviews to the episode summaries of the episodes on the relevant DVD. Likewise the Sailor Moon Episode Guides have links to these DVD reviews.
