Well it's been a crazy week with that news about Tokyopop (as it turns out) simply repeating what they've been saying for the last several years now, that they're trying to get the rights to the Sailor Moon manga so they can rerelease it. That means guys and gals that so far they still haven't got the rights, but let's keep our fingers crossed, right?

Quite a few sites have updated this last week or so. Kirari-PGSM has changed their layout once more and now has a very cool live action Sailor V theme! Very nice! They also have some pics from Otakon with some great cosplaying going on! Check 'em out!
The Oracle has uploaded a new Summer themed layout (anyone else remember that old site from the 90s, "Sailor Moon Summer"?) which came complete with a site feed (yay!), music and lots more!
Neo Nobility has some more manga for you manga fans worth checking out and has fixed some quizzes which were apparently faulty. Give 'em a go!
The famous Genvid site has had a complete overhaul and features a very high tech new layout that definitely separates it from the rest of us! I'm honoured they chose to add Moonkitty.NET to their news boxes! Cheers guys!
I just finished the final Harry Potter book last night and it was brilliant! I'm happy to say I was right with several of my predictions (i.e. Harry's scar and Snape for example). If you're not reading Harry Potter, I really recommend you do!
I seriously predict I will have finished the live action Sailor Moon guide within the next three weeks.

Tokyopop to Release New Sailor Moon Manga!!! (maybe?)
HUGE NEWS!!! (Thanks to Genvid for the heads up!) Tokyopop has announced at this year's Otakon that they have renegotiated the rights for the Sailor Moon manga and will be releasing it within the next two years!!!
It hasn't been confirmed if they will be translating the new re-released manga that was released in Japan recently with new artwork and slightly adjusted script or if they will simply be redoing the original manga with a more consistent translation and right to left reading (Japanese) style. We should find out fairly soon though.
This is great news! Not only do fans finally get the chance to complete their Sailor Moon manga collection but this also has the possibility to bring in a lot of new fans as well as reignite old fans' excitement!

Update: Seems that a few fans may have misinterpreted what they heard as several people are saying that Tokyopop only expressed their interest in negotiating for the rights to the Sailor Moon manga and releasing it within the next two years. Will keep you posted on updates!

I thought I'd do a special feature this week on the Sailor Moon News Roundup featuring something huge concerning Sailor Moon that's been hitting the web for the past week or so now.
Recently a new community website opened up called, IMVU. It's kind of like Gaia online where you can create a character of yourself and design it any which way you like and then interact with your friend's avatars as well. IMVU is different though because it's completely 3D and offers very specific costume and items especially when it comes to manga, anime and computer game series!
For example, instead of getting a Sailor Moon imitation costume you can actually get a real Sailor Moon skirt, bow and even the Imperium Silver Crystal which is listed as being from the anime series, Sailor Moon!
There is also a pet option as well which allows you to have your own Artemis, Luna or Diana follow you around complete with crescent moon shaped forehead designs!!!
IMVU has started a massive advertising campaign featuring avatars from what they believe are the most popular characters around. So far characters seen have been Sailor Moon, Cloud from Final Fantasy VII and a few others.

As I'm sure you've noticed, Moonkitty.NET hasn't updated for a while but the reason isn't loss of interest in the site on my part, the reason for the lack of updates is due to my "uploading limit" from my host provider having been used up! I was updating my sites so much this month and uploading so many pictures and other media that I completely reached my limit!
I tried to purchase extra uploading credits but my credit card decided to bounce due to lack of funds! Gah! I then transferred some money into my Australian bank account from here in Japan but due to Japan being so technologically backwards it took over 10 days for the funds to go through!!! Luckily today the money finally showed up in my bank account and we have a few extra MBs of memory to update the site until the beginning of next month.
Members of our online community were aware of what happened due to me being able to send all members a message about the site's status so I highly recommend if you haven't already to sign up in case this or something worse happens in the future.
I'd like to give a special thanks to Kirari-PGSM.net who posted a message from me to Moonkitty.NET's readers on their site to let everyone know about the situation. It was really appreciated and I hope I can return the favour sometime soon.
Now, during this offline time I've been working like crazy trying to finish the live action Sailor Moon, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon episode guide and am almost there! However I haven't taken any screencaps yet so they won't be uploaded for a few days yet.

I've also finally gotten around to doing the quick guide for Sailor Moon's healing powers.
I've found some really interesting cultural notes for all of these attacks so even if you know about them check 'em out for the extra info I've added. I was really surprised by some of the stuff I found it.

Have also been fixing up some graphic glitches that have been oh so easy to fix. All of the borders should now be aligned and the updates/news titles are a lot more spiffy. I'm curious to know what you guys think so please post a comment below.

Was surfing YouTube and found THIS COOL CLIP featuring several fan made Sailor Soldiers!
Pretty cool though anime fans of Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Cardcaptor Sakura can probably tell what series they've been using as "inspiration" for their designs.
There's a website for these characters here worth checking out though it is all in French.
There's a very cool RPG Sailor Moon computer game in the works over HERE which looks like it will really rock. Can't wait for that to come out.
