As the new main story arc started in Episode 173 of Sailor Stars the first opening credits were updated.
  
  
The two opening credits of Sailor Stars are pretty much identical though several elements were updated to reflect that state of the story and characters in the anime.
  
  
Sailor Galaxia as well as the Sailor Starlights were shown in full form, while before they were simply outlines. Of particular interest is the Sailor Starlights' item, the Sailor Yell which wasn't added to the episodes themselves for about five or so episodes after this version of the credits began airing. This suggests that this opening credits was animated after a few episodes of the main arc had been finished.
  
This opening credits would continue through the rest of the series. It was the Sailor Moon anime's final opening credits.
