A New Sailor Soldier, New Powers and a New Princess!

Cover: Improving a lot over the previous cover, this one features a nice blend of images of several characters surrounding the new character, Sailor Luna and Sailor Moon who are both featured characters on the episodes contained on the disk.

The Menus: You guessed it! Sailor Luna is the theme of this DVD and she's looking great. They chose a nice picture of her to use and have complemented her nicely with a purple and pink background theme.

The Chapter Select menus continue to offer great production and press photos from the episodes contained on the disk and load instantly.

The Special Features: Miyu Sawai is joined this time around by Ayaka Komatsu (Sailor V/Venus) and they both reminisce about how they first met and their impressions of the other actors in the series.
Interestingly enough they express how they didn't like the idea of Sailor Luna when they first heard it and Ayaka was even a little angry, thinking that she would replace Sailor Venus in the series (she kind of did). They both go on to say that they all found out indirectly about Sailor Luna and even the actress who was cast as her, Rina Koike didn't find out who she was playing until she went in for a costume fitting (she thought she was going to be Sailor Chibi/Mini Moon!).

As with the previous DVDs there are several deleted scenes though this time none prove really noteworthy. There is however a hillarious blooper of the Artemis toy falling over that brings back memories of the R2D2 bloopers on the Star Wars DVDs which I had to rewatch several times.

The Episodes: As with the previous DVD, the four episode on this one, Act 25 through Act 28 show massive advancement in the plot department, this time with Usagi being revealed as the true Moon Princess and a truly emotional performance by Chisaki Hama as Sailor Mercury, while evil tries to kill Sailor Moon while fighting the evil spell on her. The introduction of Sailor Luna is the icing on the cake that makes this DVD a must have for any Sailor Moon fan. Perfection!
