As mentioned on the previous page, the English rights for Sailormoon have expired so no more Region 1 or 4 DVDs are being produced. Because of this and the popularity of Sailormoon, the DVDs are basically selling out everywhere. If you have yet to buy a Sailormoon SuperS DVD or havn't completed your collection, I suggest doing so very soon.

Now, you may have noticed that 2 sets of prices and links are given for each SuperS DVD. The "Original Release" was, you guessed it, the first release of the DVD. All of these feature a reversable cover that you can turn inside out to give yourself the cover you want. The "Geneon Signature Series Release" DVDs are exactly the same as the "Original Release" but you only get a single sided cover (only one choice) and an ugly red bar on the cover. The disks are the same in each release.

Something else worth mentioning (Man, buying Sailormoon DVDs is complex, huh?) is the "*" next to some prices (normally the original releases). This means that Amazon.com has sold out of it's own stock however you can still buy the disk used or brand new via a third party through your Amazon.com account and on the Amazon.com website. Just like buying from Amazon.com itself but you now know where it comes from. If I have "Sold Out" written next to a release, that means it's sold out everywhere.

Oh, and all these SuperS DVDs have the English AND Japanese audio and English subtitles and are Region 1. If you're an Aussie like me, there will be no Region 4 release of SuperS. When the rights expired, so did our chances of getting it on DVD in Oz. I've bought these and they're great.
