| ![]() Welcome to my shopping guide for the first generation Japanese Sailor Moon manga. These volumes were released in Japan between 1992 and 1995 and are referred to as the "Tankobon" or "collected edition / volume" in Japanese. They contain the first printing of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and Codename Sailor V in a collected format following their initial serial release in monthly comic magazines such as Nakayoshi and RunRun. This first generation release of the Japanese Sailor Moon manga was the basis for the first generation English language release by TokyoPop. These three volumes of Codename Sailor V were never released in the English language. Due to their age and popularity, these volumes can be very difficult to find and even harder to get for a reasonable price and are much sought after by Sailor Moon collectors. On this page I've added links to where to buy each volume on Amazon.co.jp. If you need help shopping on Amazon.co.jp, I highly recommend reading my Moonie Mailbag article on how to shop on Amazon.co.jp which has most of the information you'll need and links to important pages with more information on shipping, etc. Happy Shopping!
