Woke up this morning and had a craving to make some Sailor Moon R wallpapers! Hope you like them and to everyone celebrating New Years tonight, have a fun and safe time! Drink in moderation, don't do drugs and keep the cheer throughout the year!
As a special treat I took the time to edit together all the sides of the first Japanese DVD Box that came out several years ago to create one entire image (though I excluded the top of the box featuring Luna. Sorry Luna fans!).
Feel free to download as many as you want for your own personal use on your desktop though please don't upload them to another site (including your own). Cheers!
After some energy gathering on Twitter I've gathered enough willpower to update the site and post this week's Sailor Moon Roundup.
I may have the flu, but that won't keep me down for long (sure kept me down yesterday though!)
First up you've probably noticed the new image and links to the left of this post (if you're reading this on the site that is). Thought it was needed as the 20th Anniversary Announcement happened a while ago and I don't want Moonies forgetting about it! It'll also make it easy for people looking for the official site link and links to where to buy the new Sailor Moon Box Sets online. (Amazon.jp is my No.1 choice in case you were wondering where I'm getting mine from)
Next I've created over 50 new Sailor Moon anime avatars / icons for your use. I've seen a few people using my icons in forums recently and... THANK YOU! It's great to see people appreciate them enough to actually use them to represent themselves online. (Just remember, no direct linking!)
I've also gotten around to re-saving all the Sailor Moon Widescreen Wallpapers. Some of you may remember that when I first uploaded this layout all the colours were quite dull due to how I was saving the images on my new imac. Same happened with these wallpapers! If you're using one of these I highly recommend re-saving the wallpaper onto your computer. You're guaranteed to find it much more vibrant and energetic. Sailor Moon Says!
Oooh, and now onto the Roundup!
With the 20th Anniversary DVDs on their way some posters have started appearing in stores in Japan advertising them. This post over at the genvid forums has an image of one. Personally I haven't seen any of them yet, but I'll keep you posted when I do!
Finished cleaning up the Sailor Moon Wallpapers pages. A lot less scrolling now and easier navigation with added menus at the top and bottom.
Also cleaned up the Sailor Moon Icons by splitting them up into separate pages for less scrolling, faster loading and a better overall experience. Added menus at the top and bottom of each page here as well.
Completely revamped the Site History / Layout Archive with a new design I'm very happy with. Several different "eras" now to make navigation easier than having everything on one page like it was before. Travel back in time and see what Moonkitty.net was like in years gone by! Also finally added info about the previous layout and the new one that you see right now!
Moved the DVD Spotlight up under the Episode Spotlight. Looks heaps better now.
Also in case you missed the edited update in the previous post, I've updated the Gifts & Rewards page. Thank you everyone who's given me a gift! If I've somehow excluded a gift you gave me please send it to me again! I'm just really bad keeping my inbox cleaned and up to date.
Will try finish some new features for Friday and will definitely be updating the Links page which has been cleaned up slightly but a lot of new links need to be added.
Some cool miscellaneous Sailor Moon info for the Sailor Moon Roundup on Friday as well.
Also, once more I want to say hello to all the Twitterers! Can't believe Moonkitty.net is up to 81 followers just after a week or so after the account activated! Love all you Sailor Moon fans who have found me. Maybe some Sailor Moon Twitter backgrounds are in order! ;)
This week's Sailor Moon music video features one of my favourite couples in Sailor Moon, Chibi Usa / Rini and Helios / Pegasus!
Conducted a deliberate search to find a video of these two and found this one which is idealy set to Watashi Tachi ni Naritakute (aka Baby Baby Love). Hope you like it as much as I do.
I've also gotten off my bum and uploaded all the gifts & pressies my wonderful online friends have sent me! While I read my email on a daily basis I always put off replying until the last possible second. I'm embarrassed to admit that I hadn't uploaded any of these since December!!! REALLY SORRY EVERYONE! Getting things like this really do make my day. Never feel unappreciated!!! Thank you Usagi, Noa and Fallen Angel Ceres! If somehow I've lost a card, please hit me over the head and let me know.
Also, using Google Tools, I'm continually finding the Sailor Moon Wallpapers to be the most popular section on Moonkitty.net so have cleaned up all the pages for less scrolling and added some great Sailor Stars widescreen wallpapers to the collection. Really happy with them and am even using the Eternal Sailor Moon / Galaxia one on my own desktop right now.
Finally, I've finally updated my links page starting with credits and thanks to all the sites and people that have helped me out over the past 10 years. I know I've missed some people. If I have, please let me know.
Now, back to the episode guides and dvd reviews.... and my secret project!!!
So I really got into the Sailor Moon wallpaper making craze this week and made an extra 22 widescreen wallpapers for you all!
(Yeah, I think I'm going crazy too.)
This new batch features a lot of images from the live action series and the musicals. Fans of Marina Kuroki, Yu Shirota and Keiko Kitagawa are especially in for a treat! ;)
I know a lot of you would like high res wallpapers for other characters and actors but really high res images are really hard to find!
If you have really high res (greater than 1050 pixels high) of ANZA or the anime DVD covers, could you please let me know? Would be greatly appreciated.
You guys asked for more and here they are! Hope you like them! Personally I'm using one of them right now as my own desktop of my new iMac [though I'm still a PC. ;) ].

Managed to catch the new movie, Heat Island last week and let me say that it was one of the better Japanese movies I've seen! It was so much fun and all there was actually real acting involved (something very rare in a Japanese movie, sorry it's true).
How is this film Sailor Moon related? Well it happened to feature both Yu Shirota who was Tuxedo Mask in several Sailor Moon musicals and Keiko Kitagawa, i.e. Sailor Mars!
In celebration of our two Sailor Moon actors, I've uploaded their wallpapers from the movie's official website your enjoyment for generations to come.
Those few of you who have widescreen monitors or PSPs will be happy to know I've created several widescreen high res wallpapers in the new Widescreen Wallpapers page.
Being a little graphic crazy last night I also created several Sailor Moon Musical (Sera Myu) themed icons/avatars for your enjoyment. Some of them may look like doubles... but they're not. I made subtle border colour changes on a few.

Just updated the Christmas Special section which you can get to via the main menu on the right. Remember you have to allow popups from Moonkitty.NET for it to work as it pops up in a little window of it's own.
Anyway, added a new Christmas themed Sailor Moon wallpaper for your christmas joy as well as two cute icons for you LiveJournalers and chatters.
Speaking of icons, I made several more and put them in the new Icons Page. Use as much as you like. Just don't post them on your website and claim them as your own. ;)
This morning I sent a special Christmas graphic to all my affiliates and I have a special treat for everyone in general coming within the next hour hopefully. Best Christmas gretting ever. Seriously. (You'll understand when you see it).
