When I was at Uni a lot of my friends who were into Sailor Moon were also into Warcraft, that medieval real time strategy game where you got to control an army of several different kinds of creatures in a war against several other armies and characters.

Anyway, last week I came across this site that allows you to buy actual accounts for the present day world wide multiplayer version, Worlds of Warcraft,http://www.buymmoaccounts.com. The concept was such a surprise for me which means that I'm really out of touch with modern computer games (though I did just get a Wii last week with Smash Bros Brawl which kicks so much arse!) or this site has a really original concept.

Basically these guys have created their own wow accounts with different characters and have gotten their characters up to certain levels. They then sell these accounts to people who don't have the time or patience to level up their own characters.

The the price varies from character account to character account. For example a Level 70 Dwarf Priest will go for about US$ 699 while a Level 70 Dwarf Warrior goes for US$ 399.

Why anyone would spend that much money on a computer game is beyond me... but then... (glances at his Sailor Moon DVDs, CDs and merchandise)... maybe it's not that strange after all.

With all these different ways for an anime fan to get their hands on that one special DVD that they've been looking for it looks like all avenues have been covered and if you can't find it for sale or auction or *gasp!* illegal downloading (seriously guys and gals, don't do it. So many people are being caught nowadays) odds are you'll never get it. Imagine my surprise when a completely new option headed my way that seems to be resurrecting the good ol' barter system (trading basically). They call themselves; "BarterBee.com - The Free Way to Get Movies, Music, and Games" and believe it or not they kind of live up to their slogan! How it works is you create a listing of items that you want to trade and for how much "points" you would like for each item. Once someone requests one of your items you send it to them and once they get it you get the points into your account which can be used to get yourself something nice on the site. It's an interesting idea with the main focus being on how most of the items are so much cheaper than they would be if you bought them with cash elsewhere. It's also pretty comforting when you don't have to use a credit card or cash either so those kids reading this who always complain how they can't shop online my find this to be a very useful site indeed. Unfortunately it's currently only an option for US residents and me being an Aussie in Japan means that I haven't tried it myself. Hope someone finds BarterBee.com useful. It's always nice to have new options when all of your current ones fail and *psst!* I think I saw a Sailor Moon SuperS DVD on there somewhere! Like this site?
