First off, I'd like to make a correction to my previous post. We're looking at the "TELETIA S" not the "LUNATIA S". I guess I had Luna on the brain. Apologies. ^.^;;
Teletia S
What it looks like: Well, since there are 2 versions, we'll look at BOTH of them! Both the Luna and Senshi versions are adorable. No doubt. They're of a good size, and the boxes are once again, adorably decorated. They seem quite accurate to the phones seen on the TV show, coming with interchangeable cards, so you can make your phone, the scout of your choice!! Or, be talking with a specific scout! They're of a great size, enabling anyone to really grab and use it. It's simply adorable. And if you're worried about this making noise the second you put the batteries in, don't. This, like all the other PGSM toys, works on an "on/off" switch as well. So save those batteries!
What it Does: When you press the soft numbered buttons, you get different button tones, as well as if you press a few of the picture buttons, you get different voices and comments as well! Sometimes you're ringing a senshi, others, you're just getting a busy signal. With the LUNA phone, you get to press the same buttons as in the show, and transform (well, not really) into Sailor Luna!! What's absolutely NIFTY about these, is when you try the "change" cards (available seperately) on either phone (since each card has one side for the senshi phone, the other for Sailor Luna), you can use it to change into whatever the card has as a picture, or, talk to Sailor Luna!! The voices are the same as in the TV show, and if you think that's all you get, you're wrong!! Along with the nifty calling the senshi, sometimes your phone will ring at random too!! Just open it up (like a cel phone), and press the phone button, and voila! You're talking to a senshi! And, just in case you thought it'd do it anyways, if you DON'T answer the phone, it will simply stop ringing after a few rings, and that will be that. I've also noticed, it tends not to ring anymore if you don't answer, unless you play with the phone again. I'm assuming it's a way to save on batteries? Wow! Now, as a mom, I LIKE that. LOL.
What it Sounds Like: Each card has a different phrase, and each time you pick it up, it has one too! Sometimes it will repeat the same phrase over and over again. Others, you get a different phrase a good few times in a row. Though, the phrasing isn't as much as the Luna plush, it's nothing to scoff at. For the size of this cute little phone, it sure packs a punch!
Fun Factor: Out of a scale of 1-10, this is a definite 10. The phone is adorable, the phrasing is cute, and the fact that there are MORE cards to collect and use, is awesome! Fortunately for those of you who might look into getting the phone(s) with the cards, you DON'T have to take the cards out of their 'frames' (since the cards are relatively small, they had to make them into a trading card size, allowing you to punch it out to use it). You can simply look at it, and without using the red filter, figure out which numbers to press. This toy is an absolute blast, and the comments are amusing. It's size is nice for most everyone, and it really can complete that senshi outfit.
Overall, be looking to spend a GOOD amount for the Teletia S phone (Senshi Version). Since it's a rarity out there already, you're going to need to do some HEAVY digging for one. I would look to spend anywhere from $20.00 to $50.00 or MORE. Demand for this is surprisingly HIGH. As for the Luna version, it's a tad easier to find, but not by much. Since this piece comes with a couple accessories, you can look on spending anywhere from $16.99 to about $35.00 or more. Unfortunately, the only place I have seen them, are Japan auctions, and ebay. It's going to be a definite collectable, and an adorable piece to any collection. It's awesome for cosplay, and in my opinion, well worth the money.
Next week: Princess Sailor Moon's Harp/Sword
See ya then!!
