Here we are again! This week, we're going to look at the PGSM "Jewelry Star Bracelet".
What it looks like: Upon first looking at this piece, one word comes to mind.. TINY! Though it's packaging it small, and, so is the item, the box packs a nice punch! Typical of all the other PGSM items, it once again sports the blue and pink box, littered with jewels. But, it's what's INSIDE that truly makes the item. The item itself, is astonishing. It's the first time we've really seen something go all out (aside from the PGSM locket). It sports the same design and appearance as the one on the show, with sparkling gems around it, that really make the bracelet something to awe at. The gems are beautifully done, with each color being translucent, and the senshi symbol barely seen. Nothing is 2d about this piece either. With everything literally popping out, it's no wonder this one was so hard to find.
What it Does: And here's where it really shines. When you turn it on, it makes that cute little chime that all the other PGSM items make, lighting up that center Jewel. And if getting one jewel doesn't tickle your fancy, try getting all 4 interchangeable jewels! When you press the jewel, you get the nifty transformation tune, along with that chime announcing it's ready to do so. Press it again, and you get an even better type of charm. Which is just, harmonic. Truly it is. Unfortunately, despite it's awesomeness (and ability to switch it on and off), this piece comes with a plastic band. Which is far too small for the likes of an adult. A child could easily wear this, but I'd limit the cut off at about 14. Although it's a nice piece, and really something you'd love to Cosplay with, it's just something you'd have to really make-shift with something to get it to fit you.
What it Sounds like: It's sound is quite crisp, and clear, without any real muffled noise when heard. And with the sounds of the show added into it, it really makes this piece something to remember.
Fun Factor: Oh, I'd easily give this one a 4 out of 5. Why? Because it's gorgeous to look at, and it's fun to listen to. Unfortunately, it loses a star, cause I simply can't wear it. (haha) It's another one of BanDai's awesome creations for the PGSM line. And I only wish that they would have made more like it earlier on in the BSSM series.
I could easily see this piece going anywhere from $30.00 to $80.00 because of it's rare nature. I had a hard time finding mine myself, and ended up finding a seller from Germany. So you can see, it's not an easy item at all. If you're looking to cosplay with it, you might be interested in purchasing the much easier to find, and cheaper, POPY brand. It has a velcro and cloth strap. Although, it's no where NEAR comparison to the official one, it will suffice for your cosplay needs. As far as collecting goes, a PGSM collection is simply not complete without the little one. A definite buy in my opinion.
Next Week: Wrapping up the PGSM toys with the Moon Wand, & Plush Luna & Artemis.
Until then~!
